This is a camping unit that I purchased. We have a rooftop tent and an awning area where we operate a Buddy Heater, so we felt a carbon monoxide sensor would be useful. This gadget appears to be well-made and simple to hang. I just have to trust it because I have no way of knowing if it will actually work in an emergency. It keeps reading 0 PPM, which is fantastic. Hopefully it is doing what it’s supposed to do.

  2. aveester

Excellent for our plane. Durable and simple to use. It’s fantastic.

  3. customerx

Does it float? I’d like to attach my boat key to it.

    • admin

      Thanks for asking.
This is an IP67 waterproof device. But it cannot float.

  4. Megan

I bought this after my husband experienced symptoms related to carbon monoxide a few months ago while overnight driving his truck. He initially believed he was experiencing a heart attack or stroke. He was sent to the ER, where all of the blood and enzymes were fine. His physician diagnosed vertigo. We assumed that it was because it was hot and he hadn’t eaten. It turns out that another driver who was operating the same vehicle experienced the identical symptoms. We are certain that the carbon monoxide caused his illness. We prepare to test with this unit.

I visited a mechanic garage and when they were rolling vehicles out of the garage (I was about 20ft away from a van that started and it began to steadily rise from 10 to 17 ppm CO as the van rolled out of the shop so I opened an extra door and was able to watch the ppm drop to 0 again.

  6. Jerry

I purchased it to attach to my travel bag. In general aviation aircraft, carbon monoxide is a worry for the pilot. I simply leave it on so that it can monitor the house as well since it has a two-year backup battery. dependable construction Give a pilot you know one.

  7. R Billy

I rely on this to tell me of the CO in the locations I visit. Because too many hotels have issues with their pool heaters, water heaters, and other gas-burning appliances, I won’t stay there unless I have this with me. Additionally, I was in a restaurant with a broken gas fireplace. I let the manager know, and they replaced it. This is a reliable device that you may leave on all the time. I bought an electric mower when it started alarming in my pocket as I was cutting my grass. Most people would be surprised by the amount of CO a gas mower emits. I receive a new one after them, which last for around two years. Without it, I won’t be.

  8. Nicholas Maus

My only reads 0ppm even when right next to a flame. Is it defective?

    • admin

      Thanks for your question.
The CO is resulting from incomplete combustion of fuel burning. We suggest you test it with smoke. You can light a cigarette to test.
Reminder: The key to placing a CO detector in the kitchen is to avoid mounting it near or over a flame-producing appliance such as a stove, grill or fireplace. To avoid false alarms, install a detector 5 to 20 feet away from a fire source.

  9. Ashley

I adore this because my dryer and stove weren’t venting properly when I felt lightheaded at home and assumed it was the heat. My three kiddle alarms had never detected the 10 ppm low level leak that this alarm revealed I have in my kitchen and laundry room. Purchase low level meters; if they fail to detect low levels, dispose of the inexpensive wall units. This protected the health of my family and saved me money.

  10. Pollin

Very easy to use…I feel much safer with it on our boat.

  11. Bennett

I hope it never never goes off. I love that it’s portable. Very convenient. Great device to have.

  12. Mitch

Is the battery replaceable or do you dispose of the whole unit after the battery’s 2 year life?

    • admin

      Hi Mitch,

      Thank you for the question.
The battery can last about 2 years. And it is replceable. You can change the battery by yourself after it run out.

      Sincerely,
      Fiona

  13. Kemer
